During the Spring 2018 term at CCSF, I took the Photo 51 course. One of the assignments was, "Study of Light", where we look for images where light plays an interesting role. The assignment certainly broadened my scope of how to look at light -- i was taking photos of sole lights in a apartment complex being built to a light at Starbucks, in Berkeley, to buildings at UC Berkeley.
The first of this series I have entitled, "My Happy Photo". It was shot underneath the 580 overpass on Powell, in Emeryville. I just happened to be walking by and the light shown through the metal sculptures like I had never seen before. The remaining images where shot in Jack London Square (Oakland), at Lake Merritt (Oakland) and at the Embarcadero (SF).
