Artist Self-Portrait (2018)

Thank you for visiting my website.  I’m a happy transplant from West Los Angeles, relocating to the Bay Area in 1977, and currently residing in Emeryville, CA.
I started taking photos as a child on family vacations – on one such vacation to Carmel, my interest in photography began to blossom.  Though I’m primarily self-taught, over the years I’ve taken photography classes at UCSF Extension, and recently at CCSF in 2018.
Most of the work seen here is from my travels; however, recent work from 2018 has been driven by course assignments at City College.  When not shooting vacation or course work photos, I primarily enjoy taking images of architecture, ocean and nature scenes.  Some of my favorite places to take photos are — Carmel and the 17-Mile Drive, UC Berkeley, and anywhere in San Francisco.
Since mid-2014, I developed peripheral neuropathy, which dramatically changed my lifestyle; however, photography is still my passion and wherever the day takes me, I enjoy taking photos and sharing them with friends and family.  You will find some of those images on my soon to be announced blog.
